David Deschênes

Born in 1974, his aptitudes in drawing already appeared while he was a little child.


As a teenager, he decided to carry on in the field of arts.


During five years, he received a formation in arts in wood sculpture, modeling, drawing and painting at the Studio Benoi Deschênes.


His young career
has already been noticed by some happy moments:


· First prize of the provincial junior contest of snow sculpture during the
  «Fête d'Hiver» (winter festival) of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, 1994


· Prize of the public, at the professional provincial snow sculpture
  contest during the «Fête d'Hiver» (winter festival) of
  Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, 1995


· Prize of the public, at «L'Internationale de la Sculpture»
  (The International Symposium of Sculpture),
  Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, 1999.


In 2000, during the «Carnaval de Québec» (Quebec winter Carnival), he realized five art works in chocolate for the Cadbury Compagny at the «Galeries de la Capitale» in Quebec city.

Since 1999, he contributes to the realisation of the giant Christmas decorations at the «Complexe Desjardins» in Montréal.

In painting, he likes to use the air-brush technique, sometimes combined to the brush technique.



During his free time, he likes to play music either at the piano, guitar or drums. He composes and sings.
